Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons require an additional four years of a hospital based surgery residency with anesthesia training and other surgical specialties after completing dental school. Dr. Bob Rishiraj has current and advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of oral and maxillofacial problems from the simple to the complex. This involves the expertise in:

  • dental extractions
  • the removal of difficult or impacted wisdom teeth
  • the placement of dental implants
  • the management of facial injuries and infections
  • the treatment of dental and skeletal deformities (orthognathic surgery)
  • the management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction
  • the treatment of cleft lip and palate conditions
  • facial and jaw reconstruction procedures 
  • care for oral diseases (pathology)
  • aesthetic concerns of the oral and maxillofacial region and related structures

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Bob Rishiraj Bsc, DDS, MDent, FRCD(C) practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery and is the only Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon in the interior with operating privileges at Royal Inland Hospital, where he is a facial trauma specialist, as well as at the Kamloops Surgical Centre.

Registered Nurses with assist in the recovery of patients who had procedures done under IV sedation.

Drs. Rishiraj or Zahedi‘s staff is trained in assisting with I.V. sedation within our state of the art surgical office setting.
